Membership Terms of Service

This document sets for the terms and conditions of your membership with the Child of the Redwoods. By completing payment, you agree to these terms and conditions, and it is binding. Participants' rights and responsibilities are as follows.

Membership Access

Participants must create a username and password to access the Child of the Redwoods Members site, view program content, and join in the community discussions. Participants must request access to a private group upon enrollment in order to participate in the CMM course discussions.

Access to this community will continue during your active enrollment unless a community standard is violated.

Payment

Payments are withdrawn automatically from your selected payment source. Your payment due date is the date of enrollment. Monthly payments occur approximately every 30 days on the day of the month of enrollment. Annual payments withdraw on the one year anniversary of enrollment (365 days).

To stop future payments, including cancelling annual renewals, you must cancel your subscription at least 24 hours prior to the next due payment.

A single purchase entitles You to one login username and password for access to the program.

Content Access

Participants will receive streaming access to current program content as long as they remain subscribing members, including the audio / videos and downloadable materials at the sole discretion of Child of the Redwoods. Child of the Redwoods reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the website and/or program content, in part or whole, with or without giving prior notice.

You agree that Child of the Redwoods will not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the membership program. Child of the Redwoods has no obligation to retain any part of the User Account for any period of time beyond what may be required by applicable law.

Intellectual Property

All materials, including all videos, images, learning journals, handouts, and any written words within the website itself that are shared as a part of the program are subject to copyright law. Participants may NOT share membership materials in any form with anyone other than an immediate family member who lives with the child for whom this program is intended to benefit.

Participants should inform Child of the Redwoods if their immediate family has an atypical caregiving situation (i.e. shared custody, parent traveling overseas, etc.). Sharing your login credentials or program materials with anyone else may lead to penalties under the law. This will result in your access being immediately revoked and your payment will be forfeited.

Participants are welcome to write or speak about their own experiences and insights from participating in the program as well as any original DIY activities or photos of their own children working, as inspired by the program. Please give respectful attribution when appropriate.

Confidentiality

Participants may not share group discussion posts, comments, or pictures submitted by Child of the Redwoods or members of the Child of the Redwoods community without explicit permission from the author.

Refund Policy

There are NO REFUNDS granted for any reason, including failure to attend the program or forgetting to cancel recurring payments before the next billing date. However, participants may discontinue their membership at any time unless doing so results in underpayment. It is the participant’s responsibility to manage their account through the member account portal.

Cancelling a Subscription

Participants may choose to cancel payments to the program at any time through the account portal. This will remove access to the content and community permanently. If participants wish to rejoin the program again at a later date, they may be able to re-subscribe at the rate that is currently being offered. Any discount codes used in the past will no longer apply.

Unsubscribing, emailing, or direct messaging any Child of the Redwoods team member will not cancel your account. You are responsible for pausing or cancelling your recurring payment before the next billing date if you wish to discontinue the program.

Removal

Removal from the program without refund will occur immediately if a participant shares program content. Removal can also occur at the discretion of Child of the Redwoods for any violation of these terms and conditions or the community standards.

Community Standards

Every participant in the course must abide by the following community standards:

  • Participants will act with grace and courtesy within the group. This includes refraining from name calling, profanity, disrespect, and judgment.

  • Participants will refrain from harassing behavior including soliciting members for any offer, sharing affiliate links of any kind, or posting content unrelated to the course within the private group.

  • Participants should remember that everyone is here to support each other on their Montessori journey. This group is not the place to fight or discuss topics unrelated to Montessori parenting or homeschooling.

  • Participants will contact Aubrey Hargis privately via email or private message if they have a specific issue with the course or another participant. However, Aubrey Hargis is not available to answer specific questions about a participant’s Montessori journey in private unless the participant has paid for and made arrangements for one-on-one coaching.

Aubrey Hargis is not liable for damage or injury to persons or property arising from any use of any product, information, idea, or instruction in this course or contained in the other materials provided to You. SPECIFICALLY, AUBREY HARGIS, DAVID HARGIS, AND THE CHILD OF THE REDWOODS TEAM MEMBERS ARE NOT LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DAMAGES, CLAIMS, DEMANDS OR CAUSES OF ACTION, DIRECT OR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE, AS A RESULT OF YOUR USE OF THIS COURSE OR ITS CONTENT.
